Project Summary – Alexander Gray Gallery, Broadway & Canal St, NYC

New Classic Restoration LLC completed a full renovation of the new 4,000-square-foot Alexander Gray Gallery, located at the iconic intersection of Broadway and Canal Street in New York City. This fast-paced, detail-intensive project was completed on an accelerated timeline of 3.5 months, transforming the gallery into a refined, contemporary space that reflects both functionality and architectural elegance.

Scope of Work:

​

• Refinished flooring throughout the gallery for a clean, modern foundation.

• Installation of 14-foot-high interior doors, contributing to a spacious, airy feel and supporting the display of large-scale works.

• Walls finished with a Level 5 skim coat, delivering a flawless, exhibition-ready surface ideal for high-end gallery use.

• A striking 33’ x 39’ full-ceiling lighting panel, custom-built to provide uniform, gallery-quality illumination across the main floor.

• Renovation and refinishing of the mezzanine level, including:

  • Custom-built office desks and interior office elements, all fabricated in-house at our shop.

  • Full-height interior glass doors, combining openness with acoustical and visual separation.

• Installation of a new entry door and a 30-foot-long skylight, flooding the space with natural light while maintaining a clean, architectural presence.

• Exterior facade painting, providing a fresh and cohesive street-facing identity for the gallery.

 

This project highlights New Classic Restoration LLC’s ability to deliver on tight timelines without sacrificing craftsmanship or attention to detail. Every element—from the millwork to the lighting system—was custom-designed and executed to meet the aesthetic and functional demands of a high-end gallery in the heart of NYC.
