Scope: Full Interior Renovation Across Four Floors

New Classic Restoration was entrusted with transforming a multi-story private townhouse residence in New York City, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern upgrades across all four floors.

​

A defining feature of the renovation was the restoration and partial reconstruction of the coffered ceiling, which preserved its classic architectural character while refining its lines and finishes to achieve a crisp, modern appeal. Below, elegant herringbone flooring was installed throughout the living spaces, adding timeless texture and warmth to the home’s interior palette.

The home’s central staircase—a focal point of the vertical layout—was fully restored and enhanced with a custom-fabricated handrail, blending sculptural detailing with structural integrity. Walls throughout all levels were carefully restored to maintain the townhouse’s original charm while preparing them for a clean, contemporary finish.

The bathrooms were completely renovated with new tiling, fixtures, and finishes, combining functionality with sophisticated material selections. Across the entire home, recessed lighting was installed to provide even, ambient illumination that highlights the architecture and interior detailing.

To complete the transformation, all walls and ceilings were finished with Level 5 plaster and painted throughout, resulting in a smooth, flawless surface that meets high-end residential standards.
