Project Summary – Matthew Brown Gallery, Canal St & Broadway, NYC

New Classic Restoration LLC recently completed the interior build-out of the Matthew Brown Gallery, located at Canal Street and Broadway in New York City. This project focused on delivering a clean, minimal, and durable space to meet the demands of a contemporary art program, with careful attention to craftsmanship and spatial clarity.

Scope of Work:

• Installation of new concrete flooring throughout, offering a seamless, industrial-modern base that's both durable and visually understated.

• Construction of a custom reception desk with integrated bookshelf, designed and fabricated in-house to combine functionality with a refined presence at the gallery entrance.

• Erection of 12-foot-high walls, providing ample vertical surface for exhibition while contributing to a spacious, open atmosphere.

• Application of a Level 5 skim coat on all wall surfaces to ensure a flawless, museum-quality finish ideal for artwork display.

• Full interior painting, executed with precision to support the gallery’s clean, neutral aesthetic.
