Project Summary – Gallery Renovation by New Classic Restoration LLC

New Classic Restoration LLC recently completed a full gut renovation of a 10,000-square-foot space in New York City, located at 10th Avenue and 26th Street. Formerly a ground-floor garage, the space has been transformed into a high-end contemporary gallery, combining industrial scale with refined craftsmanship.

This ambitious first-floor build-out included:

  • Brand-new plumbing and HVAC systems to support modern gallery functions and year-round comfort.

  • Polished concrete flooring throughout for a sleek, durable finish.

  • A dramatic 50-foot skylight, bringing abundant natural light deep into the space and enhancing the artwork on display.

  • Custom millwork, designed and fabricated in-house at our shop, tailored specifically to the gallery’s needs and aesthetic.

  • New front entry doors and 12-foot-high interior doors and walls, contributing to a bold, open layout and clean sightlines.

This project showcases New Classic Restoration LLC’s expertise in transforming raw spaces into sophisticated environments, with a strong focus on precision, quality, and design-forward thinking.

Custom Steel Doors – Karma Gallery, NYC

As part of our full renovation of Karma Gallery, located at 10th Avenue and 26th Street in New York City, New Classic Restoration LLC designed, fabricated, and installed three fully custom oversized steel doors — a defining feature of the gallery’s new entry.

Each door was approximately 12 feet tall by 13 feet wide, making them not only functional but also architecturally significant. These large-format doors were engineered and fabricated entirely in-house at our shop, ensuring complete control over quality, detail, and fit.

Key features include:

  • 1" thick insulated glass panels integrated into the steel structure to provide high thermal performance and durability while maintaining clarity and transparency.

  • Custom steel door frames are precisely fabricated to accommodate the size and weight of each door and are built to integrate seamlessly into the newly constructed facade.

  • Pivot hinge system, allowing the oversized doors to open smoothly and evenly despite their substantial scale and weight.

  • Matte black powder-coated finish on all components, providing a durable, refined appearance that aligns with the gallery’s contemporary aesthetic.

  • Custom-fabricated steel handles, designed specifically for this project to blend seamlessly with the minimalist, industrial design language.

  • Meticulous shop fabrication and field installation, ensuring that every aspect—from alignment to hardware integration—was executed to the highest standard.

  •

These entry doors are more than just functional—they are a sculptural centerpiece that sets the tone for the entire gallery experience. This project highlights New Classic Restoration LLC’s ability to handle highly technical, design-driven fabrications that demand both precision and creativity.
